NFL 2024-1-3093 - Notice on the temporary designation of areas with flight restrictions and danger zones on the occasion of the military exercise "NATO Tiger Meet 2024″ 03.06. - 13.06.2024

The Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport Affairs has announced important flight restrictions and danger areas in connection with the military exercise "NATO Tiger Meet 2024" in accordance with applicable air traffic regulations and the Air Traffic Act. These measures apply to the Bremen flight information region and the upper Hanover flight information region and are designed to ensure the safety and effectiveness of the exercise.

1. type of flight restrictions (ED-R areas): Flights by aircraft not involved in the exercise are prohibited in the defined areas. Exceptions are state aircraft, police flights, rescue and disaster control missions as well as ambulance flights and flights under instrument flight rules with prior authorisation. The flight restrictions apply for the following periods: 03.06.2024 - 07.06.2024 and 10.06.2024 - 13.06.2024, from 07:00 UTC to 11:00 UTC in each case.

2. type of hazardous areas (ED-D areas): Aircraft pilots are urgently requested to avoid the designated danger areas, as these may be affected by military training flight operations.

3. areas with flight restrictions and danger zones:

  • ED-R Tiger Meet D: FL080 - FL660, along certain coordinates.
  • ED-D Tiger Meet D: FL080 - FL660, also along certain coordinates.
  • ED-R Tiger Meet E: FL080 - FL090, FL160 - FL190, FL410 - FL660, along other coordinates.
  • ED-D Tiger Meet E: FL080 - FL090, FL160 - FL190, FL410 - FL660, also along other coordinates.
  • ED-R Tiger Meet F: FL080 - FL090, FL160 - FL190, along certain coordinates and the German-Dutch border.
  • ED-R Tiger Meet G: FL080 - FL245, along certain coordinates and the German-Dutch border.
