New telephone service from LBA Division L6: Easier access to aeromedical and legal matters

General aviation and, in particular, the aeromedical and legal aspects of aviation are subject to strict regulations and regular adjustments. In order to make communication more efficient for pilots, aero-medical experts and other interested parties, the L6 "Aviation Medicine and Legal Affairs of Division L" department of the Federal Office of Civil Aviation (LBA) has set up a new telephone service with fixed office hours and special extension numbers.

New office hours for telephone enquiries

From now on the Unit L6 by telephone on the following days:
📅 Monday, Wednesday and Friday
09:00 to 11:00 a.m.

These fixed time slots are intended to ensure that enquiries are processed in a targeted manner and waiting times are minimised.


Special extension numbers for specific enquiries

In order to manage enquiries even more precisely and shorten processing times, a number of Separate telephone numbers set up:

📞 Aeromedical matters:

This hotline is intended for medical questions relating to aeromedical examinations, requirements for pilots or other health issues in aviation.

📞 Recognised as an aviation medical expert:
Phone number: 0531 2355 - 4615
Whoever wants to be be recognised as an aero-medical expert or if you have any questions about your recognition, you can contact this number directly.

📞 Support in the operation of the aeromedical database EMPIC/EAMR:
Phone number: 0531 2355 - 4616
The databases EMPIC and EAMR play a central role in the management and tracking of aeromedical data. Anyone who needs support in operating these systems can get direct help here.
