This continues the positive trend from previous years. In particular, the demand for modern <strong>Piston engine aircraft and business jets<\/strong> remains high. The distribution of <strong>Aircraft deliveries by segment<\/strong> shows a mixed picture:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Piston engine aeroplanes<\/strong>: <strong>1,722 units delivered<\/strong> (+4,2 %)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Business jets<\/strong>: <strong>764 jets delivered<\/strong> (+4,7 %)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Turboprops<\/strong>: <strong>626 aircraft delivered<\/strong> (-1,9 %)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Market leader: Cirrus SR22T remains the most delivered aircraft<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Also <strong>Cirrus Aircraft dominates in 2024<\/strong> the delivery figures in General Aviation. The <strong>SR22T<\/strong> remains with <strong>364 units delivered<\/strong> the most popular aircraft in the world. Overall, Cirrus holds a leading position with its piston engine aeroplanes. <strong>Market share of 36 per cent<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Top 3 best-selling aircraft<\/strong> in the piston engine segment:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Cirrus SR22T<\/strong> - 364 units<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Piper PA-28 (Archer &amp; Pilot 100i)<\/strong> - 182 units<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cessna 172 Skyhawk<\/strong> - 164 units<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Business jets: Gulfstream dominates, Vision Jet from Cirrus with strong growth<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the area <strong>Business jets<\/strong> asserts itself <strong>Gulfstream<\/strong> as market leader. If the models <strong>G500, G600, G650, G650ER and G700<\/strong> added together, the result is <strong>118 aircraft delivered<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Particularly noteworthy is the success of the <strong>Cirrus Vision Jet<\/strong>. With <strong>101 units delivered<\/strong> Cirrus is only just behind Gulfstream and ahead of many other competitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Turboprops: Pilatus PC-12 and Dahers TBM 960 as market leaders<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While the <strong>Turboprop division<\/strong> overall a slight decrease of <strong>1.9 per cent<\/strong> individual models are in high demand:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Pilatus PC-12<\/strong> - 96 units<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Therefore TBM 960<\/strong> - 56 units<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cessna Grand Caravan EX<\/strong> - 60 units<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Piper M700 Fury<\/strong> - 46 units (first time on the market)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Special aircraft: Air Tractor with high demand<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to standard business jets and training aircraft, specialised aircraft also recorded stable sales figures:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Air Tractor<\/strong> (agricultural and fire-fighting aircraft) <strong>202 units<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Thrush Aircraft<\/strong> - 27 units<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Extra (aerobatic aeroplanes)<\/strong> - 23 units<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>GB1 GameBird (aerobatic aeroplane)<\/strong> - 18 units<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Diamond DA62<\/strong> - 64 units<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Europe remains the second largest market for new aircraft<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The USA dominates with <strong>79 per cent<\/strong> of piston-engined aeroplanes delivered continue to dominate the market. <strong>Europe retains 11.1 per cent market share<\/strong> the second largest region, while the rest of the world remains in single figures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Outlook for the future: Challenges and opportunities<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>GAMA<\/strong> emphasises that <strong>Regulatory factors<\/strong> like <strong>Customs duties, taxes, trade barriers and supply chains<\/strong> will be decisive for the future growth of the industry.
