Questions that the chatbot can answer range from technical and operational topics to specific information about European airports and training details. Examples of questions that can be asked to the co-pilot include

Aerodrome detailsInformation on runway alignment, length, surface and fuel availability at airports.

Private pilot informationPlaces and conditions for private landings, throughout Europe.

EducationAge requirements for entry into LAPL(A) (Light Aircraft Pilot Licence) training and differences between LAPL(A) and PPL(A) (Private Pilot Licence).

Airspace and air traffic regulationsInformation on transition altitudes, slot requirements and how to apply for them at various airports in Germany.

Additional resourcesLinks to Google Earth and OpenAIP for airports in the vicinity of a specific city to enable clear planning and navigation.

Access and use: How users find the AI Copilot

The AI Copilot is easy to use. A trial version of the Copilot is available to all visitors on the Pilot Hub homepage. Members who are registered as "PIC members" (Pilot in Command) have access to an extended version and can access the Copilot by clicking on an icon in the bottom right corner of the page. This allows them to get support quickly from any page on the platform.

A learning AI partner: feedback from the community

It is important for us to emphasise that the AI Copilot is not infallible and is still in the development phase. To further improve the answers and extend the functionality of the tool, the community is encouraged to actively provide feedback. User feedback is crucial to continuously train the copilot and ensure that the information is accurate and up-to-date.

Further information:
Pilot-Hub AI Co-Pilot

Artificial intelligence (AI) has now also found its way into aviation.
