The flight restrictions apply in the period from 10 October 2024, 10:00 a.m. UTC<\/strong> until 13 October 2024, 22:00 UTC<\/strong>. Affected is an area with a radius of 30 nautical miles (NM) around the point 52\u00b0 31\u2032 34\u2033 N, 013\u00b0 22\u2032 20\u2033 O<\/strong> (approximately in the centre of Berlin). The vertical boundary extends from ground level (GND) to FL100<\/strong> (flight altitude of approx. 10,000 feet).<\/p>\n\n\n\n All flights are prohibited in the restricted flight area described, including the operation of model aircraft and unmanned aerial systems. However, there are certain exceptions<\/strong>that authorise flights in connection with safety and rescue measures. Excluded from the restriction are, among others:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Unmanned aerial systems (e.g. drones) may be operated within a radius of more than 10 NM around the central point, but only in compliance with the maximum flight altitude of 120 metres above the ground and the regulations of the Air Traffic Regulations (\u00a721h LuftVO).<\/p>\n\n\n\n All flights that receive an exemption authorisation are obliged to a permanent radio connection<\/strong> on the frequency 135.600 MHz (\"Police Info\") to be maintained<\/strong>. They must also be registered with the Berlin State Police<\/strong> and authorised by the latter. General transit authorisations will not be issued during this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Berlin State Police is responsible for changes to the restrictions, in particular if the temporal effectiveness or the vertical extension of the area changes.
