Most private aircraft require aviation gasoline. While there used to be many different variants with different lead contents, today most aircraft use AvGas 100LL (low lead). However, it still contains lead, which is why there have long been discussions about whether this should be banned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a consequence, many older aircraft with more powerful engines would effectively have to remain on the ground.
